Except it's the Trump Administration trying to dictate what museums display, Trump himself whom wants museums to sanitize and sugar-coat history, wants museums to somehow magically display information on events that haven't happened, put pressure on a sports team to change its name to one he wants rather than the name the team chose to improve marketability, long-term profitability, attacks celebrities when they disagree with him, news organizations when they fact-check his versions of events, call out his lies or otherwise contradict the MAGA Party Narrative, whom is glaringly, documentedly archly thirsty for participation trophies and quite frequently falsely credits himself for others' work.
Fun Facts:
-the first known mention of participation trophies awarded is in a February 8, 1922 edition of a Massillon, Ohio newspaper, "The Evening Independent," in an article announcing a high school basketball tournament. While available records concerning Massillon's local elections, political make-up are rather suspiciously lacking prior to the 1930s, Stark County, Ohio has only swung democratic in 14 presidential elections since 1856, was decidedly republican-majority from 1920-32.
-the participation trophy's primary military counterpart is the National Defense Service Medal instituted in 1953 by Dwight D. Eisenhower (R) sooo.... yeah.
