Lots of people call themselves "people of God" that doesn't automatically make them a good person. I was abused by a lot of extremely shitty people who called themselves "Christian". Throughout history, many leaders called themselves "Christian" and started wars and genocide. Your argument of thinking a person automatically has good qualities just because they call themselves "Christian" is a very flimsy argument.
